Mohokare Local Municipality

Mohokare is a municipality in the district Xhariep, Free State Province, South Africa, based in Zastron. Motshewa Julia Sehanka is the mayor.

The community name derives from the Sesothowort for the Caledon River, which flows through the community.

Villages in the municipality are: Dewetsdorp, Matlakeng, Mofulatshepe, Role -le- ya- thunya, Rouxville, Smithfield, Uitkoms, Zastron.
