Moïse Rahmani

Moïse Rahmani ( born 1944 in Cairo ) is a Belgian writer.

Life

Rahmani comes from a Jewish family and was born in Cairo. In 1956 his family moved when he was 12 years old, in the former Belgian Congo, where a small colony of Sephardic Jews existed. Due to the Congo crisis his family had to leave the country. Since the 1980 Rahmani lives in Belgium where he works as a diamond merchant. He publishes the magazine Los Muestros, published the news for the Jewish community. Rahmani writes in his works on the history and culture of the Sephardic Jews.
