Mokdad Sifi

Mokdad Sifi (Arabic مقداد سيفي, DMG Muqdād SIFI; * April 21, 1940 in Tébessa ) was 1994-1995 Prime Minister of Algeria.

As the successor of Redha Malek Sifi was appointed Prime Minister by President Liamine Zeroual on 11 April 1994. Because of his lack of success in the fight against Islamist terrorism but he was already replaced on December 30, 1995 Ahmed Ouyahia.

In the presidential elections of 1999 he ran as an independent candidate, but ended up with 226 139 votes (2.2%) only in sixth place.
