MOL Liga

The MOL League is established in 2008 Southeast European Hockey competition, participate in the teams from Hungary and Romania. The name of the League is from the main sponsor of the competition, the Hungarian oil and gas company MOL.

History

The MOL League went from the highest Hungarian league, the Borsodi Liga Jégkorong forth. Prior to the 2007/ 08 season, two clubs from Transylvania, Romania, were included in this Series: HC Csíkszereda SC Miercurea Ciuc and the. A year later there was a further increase in the number of participants, as three new teams were added to the league: the Capital Club Budapest Stars, the Romanian giants Steaua Bucharest CSA and their compatriots of CS Progym Gheorgheni. Together with the two teams from Miercurea Ciuc, the number of Romanian teams grew to four, and thus nearly half of the total of ten teams at. Therefore, the League from the Hungarian National Championship has been released, which will continue to take place in parallel and attend the only Hungarian team. The purely Hungarian parts of the MOL League make this the regular season of the Hungarian League dar.

All Romanian teams take part parallel to the MOL League also play at the operation of the Romanian Hockey League.

Five of the previous participants have participated in all seasons, including four Hungarian and a Romanian.
