Molauer Land

The Molauer country is a municipality in Burgenland district, in Saxony -Anhalt.

As districts Abtlöbnitz, Aue, Casekirchen, Crauschwitz, Small Gestewitz, Köckenitzsch, Leislau, Molau, minor contactor, silk wit and Sieglitz are reported. The Statistical Office of Saxony -Anhalt has from 1,260 inhabitants for the new municipality.

Foundation

In the course of municipal reform in Saxony -Anhalt was decided that a local municipality shall have at least 1,000 inhabitants. Therefore, communities that had fewer inhabitants had to rise to 2010 in new and larger municipalities. Accordingly, the communities Abtlöbnitz, Casekirchen, Leislau and Molau closed on 1 January 2010 for new community Molauer country together. The community Molauer land belongs to the community as a member as from that day the newly created municipality Wethautal, which has its administrative headquarters in Osterfeld.

Parish council

The council is made up of 12 council members and the honorary mayor of the community. The choice for this representative body found, together with the parliamentary elections and the elections to the Federation Council for the newly created VBG Wethautal, September 27, 2009, instead. The electoral district was subdivided into five electoral areas: Existing community Abtlöbnitz, previous community Casekirchen, previous community Leislau, Molau with wetlands and Sieglitz.

Mayor

The honorary mayor Rolf Werner was first elected on 27 September 2009 for a period of seven years.
