Molly Shannon

Molly Helen Shannon ( born September 16, 1964 in Shaker Heights, Ohio ) is an American actress.

Life and achievements

Shannon, the oldest of three sisters, their mother lost in 1969 in a car accident. She graduated in 1983, the Hawken School in Gates Mills, Ohio. She then studied at the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, graduating in 1987.

Shannon debuted on the side of Robert Englund in the film drama The Phantom of the Opera from 1989. Between 1995 to 2001, she starred in the comedy show Saturday Night Live. For these performances she was nominated for an Emmy in 2000.

Shannon received for her role in the comedy Happiness ( 1998) as part of the actor ensemble the National Board of Review Award. In the comedy Never Been Kissed ( 1999), she played the role of Anita Olesky, a colleague in the newspaper office and a friend of Josie Geller, played by Drew Barrymore. For her role in the comedy superstar - maid ' to dream up (1999), in which they took opposite Will Ferrell a starring role, she was nominated for the 2000 Blockbuster Entertainment Award. They also worked on the script with this comedy. Another nomination for Blockbuster Entertainment Award she received in 2001 for her role in the comedy The Grinch ( 2000).

Shannon is married to Fritz Chesnut since 2004 and has two children.
