Molossus (poetry)
Molossos (Greek μολοσσός, latin Molossus ) is the name of a Versfußes, which consists of three long ( heavy ) syllables. The emergence of a Molossos can be explained as syncopated, or " whipped together " form of Choriambus.
The name of meter is due in Epirus ( northwestern Greece) by the people of the Molosser.
