Mombaldone is a municipality with 223 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Asti (AT ), Region Piedmont.
Geography
The municipality covers an area of 12 km ². The neighboring municipalities are Denice, Montechiaro d' Acqui, Roccaverano and Spigno Monferrato.
Specialty
In Mombaldone vines of Dolcetto Dolcetto d' Asti for a red wine are grown with DOC status. The berries of the grape varieties Pinot Noir and / or Chardonnay may be processed for sparkling wine Alta Langa. In Mombaldone also vines of Barbera for the Barbera d'Asti, a DOCG red wine with status, as well as for the Barbera del Monferrato are grown.
