Momčilo Perišić

Momcilo Perisic ( May 22nd, 1944 in Koštunići to Gornji Milanovac, Serbia) is a Serbian military officer, most recently with the rank of Colonel General. He was from 1993 to 1998 Chief of Staff of the Yugoslav People's Army.

By International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia Perisic had been accused in 2005 of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Bosnia and Croatia. Unlike other accused Perisic is presented immediately to the Hague Tribunal. He was sentenced in the first process on 6 September 2011 by the Hague tribunal for his leading role in the siege of Sarajevo, for a rocket attack on Zagreb and political involvement in the Srebrenica massacre to 27 years in prison. The court presided Bakone Moloto saw the allegations of war crimes and crimes against humanity as proven.

He was acquitted on appeal on February 28, 2013 of all charges, the judgment is final.
