Monasterolo del Castello
Monasterolo del Castello is a municipality in the Province of Bergamo in the Italian region Lombardy with 1176 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).
Geography
Monasterolo del Castello is located 30 km northeast of the provincial capital of Bergamo on the western shore of Lake Endine. The city of Milan is located 70 km north-east of the village.
The neighboring municipalities are Adrara San Martino, Adrara San Rocco, Casazza, Endine Gaiano, Fonteno, Grone, Ranzanico and Spinone al Lago.
Attractions
The first traces of the church of San Salvatore can be traced back to the 13th century. In the 18th century it was restored. Inside, it contains numerous works of art.
