Monestier-Merlines

Monestier- Merlines ( Monestier e Merlinas in Occitan ) is a commune with 316 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Corrèze, in the Limousin region. The municipality is a member of the Association of Municipalities Pays d' Eygurande.

Geography

The municipality is located in the Massif Central, on the Plateau de Millevaches and thus also in the Regional Natural Park Millevaches en Limousin, on the right bank of the Chavanon, right on the border of the Puy-de -Dôme.

Tulle, prefecture of the department is located, about 90 kilometers south-west, about 20 kilometers southwest Ussel and Clermont- Ferrand approximately 60 kilometers north-east.

Neighboring communities of Monestier- Merlines are Feyt in the north, Bourg -Lastic in the east, Messeix in the south, southwest, and Eygrande Merlines in the northwest.

Traffic

The village lies about 14 kilometers northeast of the junction 24 of the A89 autoroute.
