Monestier-Port-Dieu

Monestier- Port-Dieu ( e Monestier Port Dieu in Occitan ) is a commune with 124 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Corrèze, in the Limousin region. The municipality is a member of the Association of Municipalities Plateau Bortois.

Geography

The municipality is located in the Massif Central on the west bank of the Dordogne, at the mouth of the river Dognon in the reservoir of Bort- les- Orgues, near the border with the department of Puy -de- Dôme.

Tulle, prefecture of the department is located, about 90 kilometers south-west, Ussel about 20 kilometers north-west, and Bort- les- Orgues about 17 kilometers to the south.

Neighboring communities of Monestier- Port- Dieu are Confolent - Port-Dieu in the north, Labessette in the east, in the southeast of Beaulieu, Sarroux in the south, Saint- Julien- près- Bort in the southwest and Thalamy in the West.

Traffic

The village is located about 19 kilometers southeast of the junction 24 of the A89 autoroute.
