Money order

The money order ( in Switzerland also: mandate; Latin: named mandatum, sometimes even money order ) is an order to a bank to pay cash or non-cash money ( cash ) to be paid. They are usually made by cash at a bank, which forwards the payment to a recipient.

Here, the money a form is in contrast to the transfer not transferred directly from one bank account to another, but issued, entitling the recipient to cash at a bank or post office account for the purpose of credit or cash payment. It is also possible the direct payment by the postman.

It is also possible to make express money orders. These are from the bank by phone, forwarded by computer or by fax to a bank contract and are completed within a few minutes. The collector identifies himself by a card or a password.

The new SEPA payment statement replaces the previous number as proof of payment vouchers, bank forms, transfers and EU standard transfers (or remittances ). It is introduced in the context of the Single Euro Payments Area ( SEPA) since 28 January 2008. It resembles a large extent the previous proof of payment, rather than account number and routing number of the recipient International Bank Account Number ( IBAN) and bank identifier code (BIC / SWIFT code ) can be entered. In Austria, the change is made final as of February 1, 2014.
