Mongalla-Gazelle

The Mongalla Gazelle ( Eudorcas albonotata ) is a species of gazelle, which is east of the Nile widespread in southern Sudan. Sometimes it is regarded as a subspecies of the Thomson gazelle.

The type is in the flood plains and savanna areas of South Sudan still relatively common. It is less vulnerable than larger antelope species to reenactments. Due to the very limited distribution area and the insufficient protection of wildlife within the region but there is a potential danger when it about the plots should step up. The total population is currently estimated at 278,000 animals (2007), but which is subject to strong fluctuations. The species occurs in Boma National Park and Wildlife Reserve in Mongalla before in stable populations.
