Mongolia national ice hockey team

The Mongolian national ice hockey team is the selection of the best players of the Mongolian Ice Hockey Federation, which was only in 1999 in the International Ice Hockey Federation ( IIHF ) was added. The team took on the participation at the Asian Winter Games in 1999 and 2003 at the World Championship of Division III in 2007 in Dundalk, Ireland, for the first time at a World Cup finals. The team of men will be out after the World Cup 2012 in the IIHF World Ranking at number 46.

In this first World Cup appearance, the Mongolia had indeed in every game hit double digits entered, but played in comparison to Erstauftritten other nations at World Championships relatively well: Two games were lost "only" nine goals difference, never was the difference greater than 14 goals. A year later there was indeed with 00:17 against North Korea, a record defeat, but a total of eleven gates were after all in the five games lost achieved ( 2007: 3 goals in four games ). At the 2009 World Championships, the team got an entry visa, so that all games counted with 0:5. Participation at the 2011 World Cup failed due to problems in the financing and procurement of equipment. In 2013, Mongolia took part in the pre-qualification for the World Ice Hockey Championships, Division III. This lost the Mongolian selection of their games against Greece and the United Arab Emirates each scarce, but won against Georgia, 6-0. The qualifying for the Division III was still missed with the achieved 3rd place.
