Monica Collingwood

Monica K. Collingwood ( born January 5, 1908 in Jackson, Missouri, † October 31, 1989 in Los Angeles ) was an American film editor who was nominated once for an Academy Award for Best Editing.

Life

Monica Collingwood's father, who had immigrated from England to the USA, worked as a security guard in a film studio, while her mother was from Luxembourg.

In 1947 she began working as a film editor in the film industry in Hollywood and was the same for her second film editing work, the Love Stories Every woman needs an angel ( Alternative title Angels are everywhere, original title, The Bishop's Wife, 1947) directed by Henry Koster with the main actors Cary Grant, Loretta Young and David Niven nominated at the Academy Awards in 1948 for an Oscar for Best Editing.

After that, she was mainly active as an editor in television productions such as particular 1959-1973 with 113 episodes of the TV series Lassie.
