Monica De Coninck

Monica De Coninck ( born March 21, 1956 in Oostende ) is a Belgian politician of the Socialist Party Other ( sp.a ). She is the former president of the Public Social Assistance Centre ( CPAS ) of Antwerp. Since 2011, De Coninck is the federal Employment Minister in the government Di Rupo.

Life

Monica De Coninck studied morality and ethics at the University of Ghent ( UGent, 1979) and began her professional career as a moral teacher at various schools. From 1988 to 1994 worked Socialistische Jeugdverbond in the socialist youth organization.
