Mónica Puig

Mónica Puig ( born September 27, 1993 San Juan ) is a Puerto Rican tennis player.

Career

Puig began playing tennis at the age of six years. Your preferred playing surface is hard court. Has now attracted a total of six ITF singles titles in her career. In 2010 she won the gold medal in singles at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Mayagüez.

At the French Open, she played in 2013 for the first time in the main draw of a Grand Slam tournament. Right away she reached the third round. Even better it was for them at Wimbledon, where she was eliminated in the first round against the seeded Sloane Stephens 17 after beating Sara Errani, Silvia Soler Espinosa and Eva Birnerova.
