Biography
Childhood
First singing experience gained, who grew up in Atlanta, daughter of MC Arnold mechanic and the former Delta Air Lines Account Manager Marilyn Best at the age of two years in the local church choir of the Jones Chapel United Methodist Church. After her parents' separation in 1984, Arnold lived with her younger brother Montez (* 1983) completed by the parent; later she became a member of Charles Thompson and the Majestics, a twelve-member choir, with whom she toured still at school through the states and various talent and singing competitions denied. 1992 producer Dallas Austin was identified during a brief appearance at Monica and it was decided, in agreement with Arista Records to take the young vocal talent under contract.
