Monika Auer

Monika Auer (* April 21, 1957 ) is a former Italian luger.

Monika Auer was successful in the first half of the 1980s, especially in the Luge World Cup. In 1980 she arrived at the Olympic Winter Games in Lake Placid on the 16th place. In the 1980/81 season to Auer had only beaten Angelika Schafferer and thus came in second place overall. A race in Winterberg won the South Tyrolean. The following season they finished behind Vera Zozula and Marie -Luise Rainer third. 1984 in Sarajevo started Auer for the second time at the Olympic Winter Games and drove to 13th place. At the European Championship the year they won the title before Heike Popel and Bettina Schmidt.
