Monika Kruse ( born July 23, 1971 in Berlin ) is a German techno DJ, music producer and label owner of.
Life
Monika Kruse was born 1971 in Berlin and grew up in Munich. At seven, she first began taking piano lessons and was after her high school graduation worked as an intern at a music magazine and a band promotion company. Later she worked as a product manager at the record company Chrysalis and supervised there among other Gang Starr and Monie Love.
1991 Kruse joined the Munich Bar Babalu first time as a DJ. The musical style was mainly influenced by hip- hop and funk, but their set also included first House Numbers. A short time later, she became a resident DJ at the " Park Café". The end of 1993 was Monika Kruse member of the Ultraworld Crew, the techno parties held in Munich and the 1994 ultrasonic club opened. Kruse was from the beginning a resident DJ at ultrasound.
1995 Kruse began with her own music productions. A co-production with Richard Bartz was published in the spring on a compilation. She worked as an A & R at crank - Records. In summer 1995, she organized the first time a House Tram Party in a tram. The end of 1997 her first solo production appeared on a compilation. In the same year she moved to Berlin. In the fall of their first mix CD appeared. 1998 was followed by several co-productions with Patrick Lindsey.
In 1999 they released their second mix CD and a year later she founded her first label Terminal M. The third mix CD was released in October, this time on her own label. In addition to her career as a DJ and producer, she launched in 2000, the charity project No Historical Backspin, at the place where artists from the field of electronic music and DJs stand against racism, intolerance and violence. Electronic musicians at the events without a fee, and donate all the money to the victims fund of the Amadeu Antonio Foundation, the victims of right and racist violence support.
2001 appeared the first and produced with Patrick Lindsey album Panorama. In 2003 she founded her second Label Electric Avenue Recordings whose publications are more in the area of quiet electronic music. Monika Kruse Latin Lovers publication became a summer hit in Spain reached the top twenty of the Media Control Charts and was in the Netherlands the number 1 dance charts. In the fall they released their second album Passengers.
In addition to her seven DJ - mix albums, including Monika Kruse on the Road 1-4, Kruse plays on the international techno events such as the Wire- rave in Japan and the final rally of the Love Parade. In Berlin, where they live, she is a regular at techno clubs like Berghain, or the Panorama Bar and Watergate, and was a frequent guest DJ at Electric Ballroom. From the readers Raveline Monika Kruse was elected in late 2007 in the top 4 of the national DJs.
On September 5, Monika Kruse published together with Gregor Tresher her first solo album Changes of Perception. The first single Changes of Perception Part 1 was released on 7 May 2008, Part 2 on 28 June 2008 and Part 3 on 3 September 2008 and was elected to the Raveline 2008 survey as Best Album in 2008 at No. 2.
Published in 2009, three remix EPs with new interpretations of Mark Broom, Broombeck, Heartthrob, Luca Morris & Paul C, Sierra Sam, Erman Erim and 2000 and One.
