Monika Michalik

Monika Ewa Michalik ( born 2 May 1980 in Międzyrzecz ) is a Polish wrestler. She was three times European champion and won in her career so far ten medals at World and European Championships.

Career

Michalik began at the age of 15 years in 1995 with the rings. It belongs to the Sports Club Orleta Trzciel. Since 2004, she is coached by Mieczysław Kurys. She studied sports and military personnel for several years. In the early years of her career, the 1.67 meter tall athlete competed in the weight class up to 63 kg body weight and trained to some championships even in the weight class up to 55 kg from.
