Monika Sozanska
Monika Sozanska ( born March 13, 1983 in Boleslawiec, Poland ) is a German epee fencer.
Life
The family of Monika Sozanska emigrated in 1994 from Poland after wine town. After a move to Schorndorf she attended the Business College. In 2003 she passed the high school and began studying art history at the University of Stuttgart. In 2005, she broke off this study and began at the University of Cooperative Education Heidenheim a degree in "Media Economics and Service Management".
Monika Sozanska began in 1994 with the epee fencing. They first achieved regional success in the youth classes and national successes in Poland and Germany. In 2002, she won the Polish junior national team at the Junior World Championships in Antalya fifth place.
From 2004 to 2013 Monika Sozanska launched in the age group " Active " for the Heidenheim Sports Federation in 1846 and trained in Heidenheim Fencing Centre, her coach was her father Piotr Sozanski. Since August 2013, it starts for the fencing club Leipzig. She is sporting a soldier ( Sergeant in the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr in Mainz) and member of the German national team. In November 2012 Monika Sozanska was sentenced to pay a fine because they had tried in the opinion of the District Court Heidenheim, to damage the reputation of a sports functionary. In the second instance the case against payment of a fine has been set.
Monika Sozanska lives in Heidenheim and in Schorndorf. She also works as a photo model.
Achievements
At the World Championships in Beijing in 2008, it reached Imke Duplitzer and Britta Heidemann third place in the team. At the 2009 World Championships in Antalya, they also reached the third place in the team decision. In 2010 she took second place at the World Championships in Paris in the team standings with Imke Duplitzer, Britta Heidemann and Ricarda Multerer. In 2012 she took part in the Summer Olympic Games London, finishing in tenth place with the team to fifth place.
