Monika Stolz

Monika Stolz ( born March 24, 1951 in Worms ) is a German politician of the CDU. She is since 2001 a member of the Landtag of Baden- Württemberg from 2006 to 2011, she was in Baden-Württemberg Labour and Social Affairs.

Biography

After studying economics in Freiburg, she was a research assistant from 1974 to 1977 the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. 1976-1983 she studied medicine in Giessen, Wurzburg and Bonn, received his doctorate in 1984 for Dr. med and has since worked as a doctor. Since 1989 she has been councilor in Ulm, which from 1991 to 1999 as chairman of the CDU faction council and 1989-2004 Town Councillor in Ulm district Unterweiler. In 2001, Pride was a direct mandate for the constituency 64 - Ulm elected to the state parliament of Baden- Württemberg. There she was from July 2004 to October 2005 deputy leader of the CDU parliamentary group.

She is Roman Catholics, married and the mother of four children.

Minister

From October 2005 to January 2006 was Political Secretary in the State Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. Following the resignation of Andreas Renner as labor and social affairs minister, she was appointed by Prime Minister Günther Oettinger as his successor. With the accession of the Government Kretschmann she divorced in 2011 from the minister.

Criticism

In 2008 she refused to write a greeting on the occasion of the Christopher Street Day in Stuttgart and in its written rejection of the organizers, among others, to the chosen theme of the event: "I believe".
