Monique Kerschowski

Monique Kerschowski ( born January 22, 1988 in Berlin) is a former German football player.

Career

Monique Kerschowski grew up in the Berlin district Heller village. In her youth she was a successful athlete. Due to a cartilage injury in the knee she had to end her career in 2000. After her knee was healed, she kicked with her twin sister a little. When they wanted to buy new soccer shoes, they happened to meet a representative of the BSC Marzahn, the new players looking for the girls team. Within a short time Kerschowski was appointed to the Berlin team selection. Her talent was also the first FFC Turbine Potsdam not hidden. In summer 2005, she moved with her sister to the Bundesliga. At the same time they visited from now to the boarding school at the Potsdamer sports school.

Even in the first season Kerschowski won both the championship and the cup. In July 2006 Kerschowski won the U - 19 national team's European Championship in Switzerland. In the final they scored a goal. In August 2006, she participated with the U-20 national team at the World Cup in Russia and completed 3 games. Germany lost in the quarter- final against the United States. While her twin sister Isabel was able to win a regular place, Monique Kerschowski came mainly in the second team to use. With the U-19 selection they could defend the European title in July 2007.

End of September 2007, she suffered in a game of the World Cup tournament bridge against VfL Wolfsburg a cross and inner ligament. Only on the final day of the season they celebrated a 6-1 win at Freiburg comeback. A year later, she won the trophy hall and the German Championship. Again and again she was thrown back by other injuries such as a renewed cruciate ligament. After the 2011/12 season she ended her career.
