Munku - Sardyk massif

The Munku Sardyk (Russian Мунку - Сардык ) is with 3492 meters the highest mountain in the Sayan Mountains ( a Südsibirisches Mountains) in Asia.

The top of the mountain stands on the border between Mongolia and Russia. It is located in Sayan immediately south and southwest of the headwaters of Oka and Irkut, flowing from its flanks to the north and east to the Angara. South of the mountain is the lake Chöwsgöl Nuur ( Chubsugul ).
