Mono River

The Mono river is 467 km the longest river in Togo, but only about 50 km are navigable. It rises in Benin near the Togolese border and flows from there to the south. Mono is towards the end of its run, the border between Togo and Benin and empties into the Bay of Benin and thus into the Atlantic Ocean.

About 160 km to the north of its mouth Mono is dammed by Nangbeto Dam.
