Monochromacy

Monochromate any organism that has only one kind of color receptors ( cones) in the retina.

Robben and most whales have only one type of cone, the perfectly absorbed in the green region of the spectrum. In addition, it is found in all lower vertebrates.

There are also rare genetic diseases in which patients have no pin; you call this then stäbchenmonochromat.
