MonoDevelop

MonoDevelop is an integrated development environment that is being developed as part of the Mono project. MonoDevelop was created in late 2003 by an effort of some Mono developer to port SharpDevelop to Mono and GTK #.

History

Since version 0.10 MonoDevelop has an integrated GUI designer for GTK # and since 0:12 ASP.NET support.

Since version 1.0 Beta 2 MonoDevelop is part of the Mono project and no longer dependent on SharpDevelop. It is actively developed by Novell and the Mono developer community. In addition, it integrates into the GNOME desktop and the program interface of MonoDevelop is multilingual.
