Monolithic Memories

Monolithic Memories Inc. (MMI ) was a U.S. company, the bipolar PROM, Programmable Logic Devices and standard modules ( among others, the TTL - series 7400) produced.

MMI was founded in 1969 by former Fairchild Semiconductor engineer Ze'ev Drori. The team at MMI engineers led by Ze'ev Drori, John Birkner and HT Chua invented a new category of programmable circuits that have been referred to as Programmable Array Logic (PAL).

1987 MMI was acquired by Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and sold to Lattice 1999. (see history of AMD )
