Monopol Hotel

Monopol Hotel (formerly: House monopoly, also called " The Pearl of Lower Silesia " ) is an 5-star Superior hotel in the Wroclaw city center. It is located on the former Agnes Sorma Street (today: ul Heleny Modrzejewskiej ) corner Schweidnitzer Street (today: ul Świdnicka ) about 450 meters south from the Great Ring.

History

The hotel was built 1891-1892 in neo-baroque style. The architect was Karl Grosser. Since 1984, the building is a listed as a protected monument. The facade of the hotel was renovated in 2008.

The hotel has two restaurants. One specializes in Polish dishes, the other serves mostly Mediterranean food.
