Mons Blanc

The Mont Blanc is the highest mountain with 3.6 km of the Montes Alpes on the front side of the Moon. It is named after earthly Mont Blanc. The lunar Alps border on its southwest side of the Mare Imbrium.

The Mont Blanc is one of the few Mountains of the Moon, whose name was Latinized not later, but has been included in the introduced by Johann Hieronymus Schroeter form of the IAU, 1935. The spelling Mons Blanc is therefore wrong.
