Monserrato

Monserrato is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 20 178 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Cagliari in Sardinia. The village is located about four kilometers northeast of Cagliari and was until 1991 a dortiger municipality, due to a referendum, an independent congregation was formed. However, the municipality is part of the Metropolitan area of Cagliari.

Traffic

The place is hub for several national roads, including Strada Statale 554 and State Road 387 Rail service to Cagliari is also wrong on the web since 2008, the city of Cagliari. At the railway station, there FdS their museum.

From 1919 to the late 1950s was in Monserrato an airfield ( 39.2500972222229.1457166666667 ⊙ ), which served both civilian and military purposes over time. There are not yet received two maintenance hangars, some of which are used by the Forest Service.
