Mont Orohena

The Mont Orohena is the highest point of Tahiti in the archipelago of Society Islands and also the highest peak of all French Polynesia. It represents the peak of the former volcano that forms the Tahiti Nui ( " Great -Tahiti " ) peninsula, the western part of the twin island of Tahiti. Mont Orohena reaches a height of 2241 meters above the sea. Administratively the mountain is part of the municipality of Mahina.
