Montaldeo
Montaldeo ( Montondé Piedmontese, Ligurian Montaldeo ) is a municipality with 284 (as of 31 December 2012) inhabitants in the province of Alessandria (AL ), Region Piedmont.
The neighboring municipalities are Casaleggio Boiro, Castelletto d' Orba, Lerma, Mornese, Parodi Ligure and San Cristoforo.
Geography
The village lies at an altitude of 332 m above sea level. The municipality covers an area of 5.19 km ².
Specialty
In Montaldeo vines of Dolcetto for the Dolcetto d' Ovada, a red wine are grown with DOC status. The berries of the grape varieties Pinot Noir and / or Chardonnay may be processed for sparkling wine Alta Langa. The variety Barbera finds its way into the red wine Barbera del Monferrato.
