Monte Porzio Catone

Monte Porzio Catone is a municipality in the province of Rome in the Italian region Latium, located about 8582 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012). It is located 30 kilometers east of Rome.

Geography

Monte Porzio Catone is on the edge of the Alban Hills and is a member of the Comunità Montana dei Castelli Romani e Prenestini.

Policy

Luciano Gori (civic list Viviamo Monte Porzio Catone ) was elected in June 2009 for the mayor. He replaced Roberto Buglia from (since 2004), who did not run.
