The Monte Stella ( also Monte della Stella or Monte Stella) ( German as " Sternberg ") is the highest peak in the western Cilento.
Geography
The mountain is surrounded in three directions from the Tyrrhenian Sea. In the east the valley of the river Alento forms its boundary.
Accessibility
On the Monte Stella is a road that starts in Omignano and in about 7 km leads to the mountain. Furthermore, there are trails from the surrounding villages Serramezzana, Castellabate and San Mauro Cilento.
At the summit there is a church and a radar station.
