Montemagno, Piedmont
Montemagno is a municipality with 1137 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Asti (AT ), Region Piedmont.
The municipality comprises the villages of S. Stefano and S. Carlo. The neighboring municipalities are Altavilla Monferrato, Casorzo, castagnole Monferrato, Grana, Refrancore and Viarigi.
Geography
The village lies at an altitude of 260 m s.l.m. The municipality covers an area of 15 km ².
Specialty
In Montemagno vines of Barbera for the Barbera d'Asti, a DOCG red wine with status, as well as for the Barbera del Monferrato are grown.
