Montenegro Montenegrin song is a music festival that was held in the years 2007 and 2008 from public broadcasting in the country ( RTCG ). It was used to find candidates for Euro Vision Song Contest. Since 2009, the event no longer takes place, as RTCG went over to internal contribution selections, respectively in 2010 and 2011 the competition stayed away.

2007

The first song Montenegro was held on 25 February 2007. A total of ten posts were selected which competed to become Montenegro's first Euro Vision contribution; the order had been a week earlier determined on live television. As a stopgap presented Koldun from Belarus and Alenka Gotar from Slovenia their contributions for the Euro Vision Song Contest 2007 before, also the group No Name occurred. She won in 2005 and 2006, the Serb- Montenegrin preliminary rounds for Euro Vision Song Contest.

The winner was determined solely by a telephone vote.

Stevan Faddy was thus selected in Helsinki for the Euro Vision Song Contest 2007. He reached with his song in the semifinals only to 22nd place at 28 participants, so could not qualify for the big finale.

2008

The second song Montenegro was held on 27 January 2008. Compared to last year the format was changed, the artist is now set not their potential competition entries before, but sang like a talent show title by other artists. The final song was later selected by a jury transmitter. In the ranking break the Belarusian candidate Ruslan Aljachno occurred with his contribution Hasta La Vista, also were Elvir Laković Laka, representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Stevan Faddy previous representative and Milanca Rasic from the Macedonian Broadcasting present.

After this decision RTCG commissioned composers to write songs. The song Ne daj mi da Macedonian composer Grigor Koprov and Ognen Nedelkovski poludim selected from four final proposals. On March 8, it was presented to the public, as well as under the new title zauvijek volim te re-arranged. When Euro Vision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade Stefan Filipović failed, as did Stevan Faddy at the finals; he reached the 14th place with 19 songs in the first semifinal.
