Monteros Department

The department Monteros is located in the west of the province of Tucumán in northwestern Argentina, and is one of 17 administrative units in the province. It is bordered on the north by the departments Tafi del Valle and Famaillá, on the east by the departments Leales and Simoca, to the south by the Departamento Chicligasta and to the west by the province of Catamarca. The capital of the department is the city of Monteros.

Geography
