Montes Rook

Montes Rook, the Rook Mountains - named after the English astronomer Lawrence Rook (1622-1666) - is an annular mountain system on the moon. It wraps with a length of about 900 km altogether, Mare Orientale and other plateaus of basalt. Two of the solidified lava lakes, the Lacus Lacus Veris Autumni and lie on the natural boundary of the Montes Cordillera.
