Montes Teneriffe

Montes Teneriffe is a mountain range in the northern hemisphere and the near side of the Moon. It is named after Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean. It has a mean diameter of approximately 110 miles. The highest mountains are up to 2400 meters high.

Unlike their terrestrial namesakes Tenerife's Mountains of the Moon are not surrounded by an ocean, but from the Mare Imbrium, the Sea of Rains. They protrude from the northern portion of its basalt level. West of them rise from the Montes Recti and to the southeast of the individual Mons Pico.
