Montfort-le-Gesnois
Montfort- le- Gesnois is a commune with 3064 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Sarthe in the Pays de la Loire; it belongs to the district Mamers and is capital of the canton of the same name.
The community Montfort- le- Gesnois located 20 kilometers from Le Mans, on the banks of the Huisne. It consists of the former municipalities of Montfort- le- Rotrou and Pont -de- Gennes since 1 January 1986. Neighboring municipalities are: Connerré, Lombron, Saint- Corneille, Saint-Mars- la- Brière and Soulitré.
