Montgomery Gentry is an American country duo from Lexington, Kentucky.

Band History

Eddie Montgomery and his brother John Michael came early with the country band on her father in her native Kentucky. Troy Gentry also was at a young age as a country musician on the road and eventually joined the band Early Tymz the Montgomery brothers to do so. Later the three were together in the band Young Country before Jason Michael began his successful solo career.

Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry then made ​​the duo continued, first under the name Deuce, then as Montgomery Gentry. End of the 90 they were taken from Columbia under contract and in 1999 released their debut album Tattoos & Scars. It reached the Top 10 on the country charts and also entered the official U.S. album charts. It sold over a million copies.
