Montgreenan

Montgreenan is a manor house near the Scottish town of Kilwinning in North Ayrshire Unitary Authority. In 1971 the building was added to the Scottish lists of monuments in the highest category A monument. It was built in 1810-1820 for Robert Glasgow. 2012, the building was added in the Scottish register of endangered historic monuments. His condition is described as good, however, at low risk.

Description

The manor house is surrounded by vast lands with various outbuildings. It is isolated about three kilometers north-east of Kilwinning near the Garnock. The northeast exposed front of the two -story building has a symmetrical design. The central entrance area stands out easily and is accessed via a porch. It is decorated with a portico with four Doric columns. Then there is a balcony with surrounding balustrade. Go on both sides of the main building from one-story, two-axis wide attachments which were probably added later.
