Montilliez

Montilliez is a municipality in the canton of Vaud, Switzerland. It was created July 1, 2011 from the merger of the municipalities Dommartin, Naz, Poliez -le- Grand and Sugnens.

The name is derived from an undertaking situated in the geographical center of the future community parcel with the name Au Montilliez. The name means to Lindenberg (from Latin tilia linden = ).

Geography

The municipality is located in the heart of Gros Montilliez -de -Vaud southeast of the district town Echallens between the river talent in the East and in the West Mentue. The neighboring communities of Montilliez are in the north Fey, in the northeast Montanaire, in the east Jorat Menthue, in the south Poliez -Pittet, in the south-southwest Bottens, southwest Echallens and to the northwest of Villars- le -Terroir.
