Montreal Museum of Fine Arts

The Musée des beaux -arts de Montréal (English: The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts) is Canada's oldest art museum. It was founded in 1860 in Montreal. The Museum has about 500,000 visitors a year currently.

Collection

In addition to classical art and contemporary works by American artists ( such as Hans Hofmann, Sam Francis, Robert Rauschenberg, Alexander Calder, Louise Nevelson and Leon Golub ) and European artists (including Gerhard Richter, Jörg Immendorff, Rebecca Horn, Barry Flanagan and Stephan Balkenhol ) are shown.
