Montrose is a small town in Montrose County in the U.S. state of Colorado, which in 2010 had about 19,100 inhabitants. Montrose is a Home Rule Municipality and the county seat of Montrose County.

Geography

History

Montrose was registered on 2 May 1882 as city. It was named after Sir Walter Scott's Legend of Montrose.
