Monumenta Serica

Monumenta Serica (Ch Huayi Xuezhi华裔 学 志, English Subtitles:. Journal of Oriental Studies ) is an international scientific journal of Chinese studies. It appears in the Monumenta Serica Institute in Sankt Augustin. The chief editor was until 2012 Roman Malek and is currently Zbigniew Wesołowski. The Institute is the German province of the Divine Word Missionaries.

The magazine was founded in 1934 at the Catholic Fu Jen University in Beijing by the Divine Word Missionaries and China Sinologist Franz Xaver Biallas ( 1878-1936 ). It provides in articles and reviews of sinologist from around the world the material and spiritual culture of China before. The journal is published annually with contributions in English, German and French.
