Moonbeam (band)

Moonbeam is a Russian DJ duo consisting of brothers Vitaly and Pavel Chwalejew (Russian Виталий Хвалеев and Павел Хвалеев ). Their style of music they describe themselves as a mix of Trance, Progressive House, Techno and Atmospheric Deep Minimal.

Career

Vitaly (born 17 September 1979) and Pavel (born 27 May 1984) was born in Naberezhnye Chelny in the Russian republic of Tatarstan. In 1999, Vitaly permanently moved to Nizhny Novgorod, where he previously attended university. He began to work as a DJ. Five years later, his brother Pawel followed him to Nizhny Novgorod.

Already during his studies Pawel own tracks and remixes started to produce. Initially, the brothers used the pseudonym "Black & Hat" for their cooperation. In 2003, she worked with the U.S. Vocalists Chris Lonsford, with whom she produced her first single " True Raven " and a little later "Consumption" and "Forgotten Grey". At his suggestion, they took the new pseudonym Moonbeam. At the beginning they produced mainly trance and Atmospheric Techno.

Founded in 2005 with Moonbeam Moonbeam Digital, the first Russian digital music label. 2007 began a collaboration with the German music label Traum Schallplatten, which published their EPs "Eclipse" and "Spring Story". That same year she also received contracts with the Dutch record label High Contrast Recordings, in which their EP " Cocoon " was released, and Black Hole Recordings, which released " I Love Mornings " and " See the Difference Inside" on their sub-label Songbird. The latter also received support from Tiësto, who recorded the song in his compilation In Search of Sunrise 6.

Even with remixes have Moonbeam some success. My remix of " To Forever " by Rachael Starr appeared among other Tiësto In Search of Sunrise compilation 7, 2009 Moonbeam were first elected 100 DJs by DJ Magazine's list of the top. They climbed to number 76. End of the year their single " About You " by Armin van Buuren was recorded at its annual compilation A State of Trance Yearmix 2009. In 2010 she even reached number 42 in the DJ list by DJ Magazine.
